The MONROE COUNTY
BOARD OF EDUCATION
is requesting submittals
from qualified Construction
Management firms for
the MPHS Stadium
Improvements - Phase 1,
Toilets and Concessions
Building. The MONROE
COUNTY BOARD OF
EDUCATION has contracted
with SP Design Group
Architects and Engineers,
Inc. for architectural
services.
The MONROE COUNTY
BOARD OF EDUCATION
intends to enter into a
contract with the successful
Construction Management
firm for the Pre-Construction
and Construction Phase
Services associated with
the project in order to meet
the construction schedule
and to construct the project
within a fixed budget.
Interested firms should
submit a written request for
the specific submittal format
and requirements to the
address listed below; requests
may be submitted via mail or
e-mail.

BIDS
DOCUMENT 00 1113
1.1 GENERAL
A. Sealed proposals from
Contractors will be received
by the Monroe County
Board of Education,
Owner, at 25 Brooklyn
Ave, Forsyth, Georgia, in
the Board of Education
Building conference room,
until 2:00 PM at the time
legally prevailing in Forsyth,
Georgia on February 9,
2022 for the construction
of the “ROOF TOP UNIT
REPLACEMENT AT
MONROE COUNTY
MIDDLE SCHOOL”,
located in Forsyth, Georgia.
At the time and place noted
above, the proposals will be
publicly opened and read.
A statement of bidder’s
qualifications is required
with each proposal.
B. Bids in order to be
considered must be
accompanied by a bid bond
payable to the Owner in an
amount not less than 5% of
the Base Bid. This bid security
shall become payable to the
Owner only if the bidder to
whom award is made should
fail to execute contract with
the Owner and furnish bonds
in accordance with the terms
of his proposal within ten
(10) days after notification
of award. No bid may be
withdrawn for a period of
thirty-five (35) days after date
of opening. The contract, if
awarded, will be on a lump
sum basis. Facsimiles of Bid
Bond and Bid Form will not
be accepted.
C. The Contractor will deliver
to the Owner a Performance
Bond and Payment Bond in
the amounts equal to 100%
of the total contract price.
Bonds will be executed by the
Contractor, as principal, and
a corporate surety authorized
to do business in the State
of Georgia. AIA document
A312-2010.
D. Bidders are required
to state the number of
days required to achieve
Substantial Completion of
the Work. Consideration will
be given to the stated time of
completion when reviewing
Bids submitted.
E. The Owner reserves the
right to reject any or all
bids, to waive technicalities
and informalities, to retain
discretion in adoption of
alternates and to re-advertise.
1.2 BIDDING
DOCUMENTS
A. Bidding Documents may
be examined at the office of
SP Design Group, Architects
and Engineers, 5191
Columbus Road, Macon,
Georgia 31206. Bidders may
obtain Bidding Documents
electronically, in pdf format,
by emailing Robert Day,
project architect at bday@
spdesigngrp.com and asking
for the documents. There will
be no charge. Partial sets of
Bidding Documents will not
be issued.
1.3 EXAMINATION OF
SITE
A. The project site shall be
available for bidders and
sub-bidders to examine on
January 26, 2022 at 3:30
pm. Access to the roof will
be allowed at that time.
