2022. Homegoing Services were Sun
day, Feb. 27 at Rock Creek Missionary
Baptist Church, 2051 Highway 42 South,
Flovilla, Georgia 30216. Pastor Robert L.
Henderson officiating. Burial in church
cemetery.
Catherine D. Freeman
Mrs. Catherine D. Freeman, the mother
of Felicia Freeman King and the mother
in law of Reverend Ritzel King formerly
of Forsyth, has died.
Funeral service was Thursday, March 3,
2022 at the Center Grove United Meth
odist Church in Huntsville, Ala. with
Reverend Dr. Embra Jackson officiat
ing. Interment will be in Meadowlawn
Garden of Peace.
Ellen Zellner
July 23. 1938 - March 6. 2022
Bernice Ellen Zellner of Forsyth, Georgia died Sunday,
March 6,2022 at Pine Point Hospice. Her wishes were to
be cremated with no service.
She was born July 23,1938. Her parents were Lollie
Pritchett Zellner and Walter Thomas Zellner. Maternal
grandparents were Bernice Chambliss Pritchett and Guy
L. Pritchett. Paternal grandparents were Ellen Maynard
Zellner and James Newton Zellner. She graduated from
Mary Persons High School May 29,1956. She attended
Tift College, Forsyth, Georgia, and Atlanta Law School,
Atlanta, Georgia.
All her siblings, Lilligene Zellner Lewis, Walter Thomas
Zellner, Jr. and Laura Annelle Zellner predeceased her.
She moved to Atlanta in 1961. She was a residential real
estate closing attorney for many years.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Sandra and
Lawton Dews, Jim Lewis, Dennis Lewis and Dawn Zell
ner. Her great-nieces, Sydney Dawn Zellner and Paxton
Annelle Zellner, gave her great joy during the last years of
her life.

Florence Norma Sye
January 1 1, 1935 - February 28, 2022
Florence Norma Sye, 87, of Forsyth,
passed away Monday, Feb. 28,2022. Visi
tation was held Friday, March 4, at Ramah
Primitive Baptist Church, Barnesville fol
lowed by the funeral. Interment was at the
church cemetery. Elders Pat McCoy and
Kurt Bacon officiated.
Mrs. Sye was born in North Andover,
Massachusetts on Jan.y 11,1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs.
Warren Towne. She was a devoted Army wife and mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her later years
she faithfully served as a pastors wife. She was an active
member of the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sye’s memory will forever be treasured by her lov
ing husband of 69 years, Elder Parker H. Sye; children:
Tom Sye, Susan Benson (the late Don Benson), Edith
Adams (Rufus), Elizabeth Albor (Luis); grandchildren:
Melissa Adams Selman (Chris), Kenneth Benson, Kim
berly Benson Haddock (Blake), Christopher Benson,
Carmen Adams Hynko (Ryan), Lauren Albor Greenwald
(Charles), Bessie Sye, Luis Albor, Jr.; great-grandchildren:
Annaleigh Selman, Jase Hynko, Liam Haddock, Benson
Haddock, Mattie Haddock, Tucker Hynko; and eight
nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sye was preceded in death by
her brother, Warren Towne.

Charles and Paula Serpico
Charles and Paula Serpico ended their battle with
Alzheimers just 3 weeks apart from each other. Paula
passed away Dec. 23,2021, and Charles passed away
Jan. 14,2022. They are survived by their two children,
son Anthony Serpico of Odessa, Fla. and daughter Staci
Maeder (Chad) of Forsyth, as well as grandchildren Chris,
Charley, Maddie, and Emma. They would have celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on March 1,2022.

Patricia Ann Yearwood
February 22, 1950 - March 1, 2022
Patricia Ann Christian Yearwood, 72, of Old Benton
Road, died Tuesday, March 1,2022, at a local hospital. Ser
vices will be announced at a later date.
Mrs. Yearwood was born February 22,1950, in Macon
and had lived in Juliette for the past 25 years. She was the
daughter of the late John Thomas Christian and Katie Bell
June Crutchfield Christian. She was a member of Bethany
Baptist Church in Bolingbroke and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Yearwood was an accomplished artist who loved
to draw. She was preceded in death by a sister: Norma
Bernice Hester.
Mrs. Yearwood is survived by her husband: Danny
Yearwood; children: Jimmy Lee Middlebrooks, Jr. and
Angelia Middlebrooks; grandchildren: Christopher Neil
Sapp, Alaina Paige Peavy (Joseph Almaraz), Corbin Wade
Middlebrooks and Quinnlyn Laney Middlebrooks; sister:
Mary Katherine Wade and great-grandchildren: Trey Al
maraz, Adrian Luca Almaraz and Isaac Gabriel Almaraz.
