MP tennis off to promising start
The Mary Persons girls tennis
team is 3-0 in Region 2-AAA and
boys are 2-1 in the region. Coach
Trey Bernard said the tennis
team always strives to come out
on top in the region, but they
definitely have good teams stand
ing in their way before we can
achieve that goal.
After missing the playoffs last
year, the boys are eager to earn a
spot in the postseason this year,
and the girls have gotten off to a
good start defending their region
title. “Well have to keep working
together as a team to finish with a
playoff seed, but we have the tal
ent and capability of doing well.
Coach Grossman and I believe
in our players and have watched
them improve from the begin
ning of the season,” said Bernard.
