Jim Barber of Monroe
County is ready to make
you, your home or your
business look the very
best in front of the cam
era. Bringing 26 years of
professional photography
experience to every client
gives his work at Impres

an advantage that competi
tors can’t offer.
He specializes in head
shots for business and
medical professionals and
in real estate marketing
photography. He has the
specialized equipment
(tripods, DSLR, ultra wide
angle lens and flash equip
ment) needed for quality
real estate photography. His
skills begin with capturing
the image and continue
with editing them. Impres-
Jim Barber
sive Images Photography
also offers quality photog
raphy for websites, bro
chures and billboards.
In real estate, sellers now
have a matter of seconds to
grab the browsing buyer’s
interest, and it takes pic
tures beyond the ordinary
to do so. In much the
same way, clients will see a
headshot online and will be
attracted to the profession
alism and approachability it
conveys—or not.
“I personally spend twice
as much time processing
images as I do capturing
the images,” said Barber.
He backs his confidence
in his skills and his desire
to help people look their
best in front of the camera
with a money-back guar
antee if the customer isn’t
satisfied.

Nearly a third of the U.S.
population now takes the
time to separate glass from
aluminum and paper from
cardboard and magazines
compared to just 7% back
in 1960. In Monroe County
alone there are thirteen
centers where residents can
go to recycle. The centers
are attended by twenty-six
elderly gentlemen who
are known as “full-time
part-timers” along with four
floaters who go from station
to station as needed.
One such gentleman is
Lamar Edwards who came
to Monroe County with his
wife Janice in 1981 along
with 2 neighbors who lived
across the street from him
in Macon. He said they
were worried about the
rising crime problem in
Bibb County and the three
men went in on some land
on Edge Road, built three
custom homes, and have
