JUST THE WAY IT IS by Sloan Oliver
Do homework before voting, Monroe County
H opefully, everyone
knows we have up
coming elections.
In Georgia, prima
ry elections are May 24. The
General Election (GE) is Nov.
8. Based on what Democrat
politicians and partisan school
boards have done to and im
posed upon students,
workplaces, churches,
sporting events,
outdoor activities, and
society in general; the
importance of voting
the proper candidate
should be self-evident,
now more than
ever. Vote the
wrong person
to the school
board, and your children
will be forced to wear masks
forever, your child will be in
doctrinated into homosexual
ideology in early grade school,
vaccinated against parents’
wishes, and forced to pledge
allegiance to the homosexual
flag. Think I’m exaggerating?
Last month, Pete Buttigieg’s
husband (Chasten) led a
school group in a pledge of
allegiance to the rainbow flag
that stated, “I pledge my heart
to the rainbow of the not-so-
typical gay camp. One camp,
full of pride, indivisible, with
affirmation and equal rights
for all” That homosexual
pledge actually happened.
Barak Obama said, “Elec
tions have consequences.”
Were seeing countless exam
ples of election consequences
playing out right before our
eyes. The best example is
happening at the gas station.
Democrats detest fossil fuels.
For decades, they have tried
to rid the world’s economy of
petroleum. By electing Demo
crat politicians, our Democrat
voters have put zealots in posi
tions of power and authority
to dictate and mandate the
nation’s energy use and energy
consumption. Dems want to
eliminate gasoline and have
implemented policies (such as
cancelled pipelines, reduced
exploration, and reduced drill
ing) that have increased energy
prices. If you make under
$250,000 per year (most of us)
those increased fuel prices are
putting a severe strain on fam
ily budgets because not only
does gas cost more, everything
costs more.
So, who to vote for? To
know that, you must DO
YOUR HOME
WORK. If not, we get
people like Jeremy
Goodwin on the
Monroe County
Board of Education
(BOE). Goodwin
continually voted
for mandatory
jJUrtOW. “£dl res
long after both
were proven ineffective. I have
no doubt, given the chance;
Goodwin would demand Crit
ical Race Theory and trans
gender indoctrination into
the school system. Why do I
say that? Because, all across
the nation, school boards
(with Jeremy Goodwins)
have imposed mandates and
edicts onto children. Those
BOEs are actively indoctrinat
ing children into racism and
transgender ideology. With
Covid, we’ve seen enough
“non-partisan” school board
members. They’re not non
partisan. They’re far leftists,
and their ideology determines
how they’ll vote. A Biden
voter, who lands on the school
board, is more concerned with
Marxist indoctrination than
they are teaching children to
read, write, arithmetic, and
patriotism.
A better example of (the
consequences of) the wrong
person in office is the Demo
crat mayors and governors
all across the country. Over
the last two years, it has been
Democrats who have imposed
endless mandates and edicts
on their states. Whitmer
(D-Michigan) banned people
from using motorized boats.
(Zero science to support such
lunacy.) In true Democrat
hypocrisy, Whitmer’s husband
was caught trying to go boat
ing. Gavin Newsom (D-CA)
banned unmasked, indoor
restaurant seating. Two weeks
later he was photographed at a
swanky restaurant, unmasked
and indoors. January 2022,
Newsom maintained his
dictatorial mask mandates at
indoor sporting events but
was photographed with Magic
Johnson without a mask
Asked about not wearing a
mask, Newsom said “I held
my breath.” R-i-g-h-t, and Bill
Clinton “didn’t inhale” when
he smoked marijuana in col
lege. Govr Polis (D-Colorado)
forced restaurants and gyms
to close but allowed marijuana
stores to remain open. (The
fact that healthy, fit people
have greatly reduced Co
vid risk was ignored by Polis
and other leftist governors.)
Murphy (D-New Jersey) had
the state police arrest and jail
a gym owner who refused to
close his gym during Covid
lockdowns. (Note - Ian Smith,
the gym owner, is running for
Congress to end such stupid
ity.) Dems are not stupid; they
know exactly what they’re do
ing. They think you’re stupid
and are using never ending
crises to seize power and steal
freedoms.
The Dems no longer try to
hide their hypocrisy or disdain
for voters. They force business
es, restaurants, and churches
to close; they require you, me
and children to wear masks all
day; yet they walked around,
unmasked, at large events; and
don’t care that they’re photo
graphed. Worse, they happily
close your business but not
one politician or government
worker, anywhere in the coun
try, lost a dime or was laid off
a single day during the entire
China Virus craziness. Rules
are for us, not them.
The dictatorial mandates and
edicts of Democrat governors,
and the list of Democrat politi
cians who were allowed to
violate them, is endless. I could
easily give dozens more ex
amples. Thank God, in 2018,
Gov. Kemp defeated Stacey
Abrams. If not, Stacey would
have tried to “out dictate, out
mandate, out edict, and out
vaccinate” all others to prove
her Leftist and Marxist bona
fides. It’s obvious that Stacey
has bigger plans than governor
of Georgia. She wants to im
pose her horrible, dangerous,
communist views onto the
entire nation. To prevent that
from happening, Stacey must
be defeated once and for all,
right here in Georgia.
Regardless of the election,
the Republican will always
be the less dangerous, more
reasonable choice, than the
Dem - if for no other reason
than the media holds Reps
accountable which they refuse
to do for Dems. Among Re
publicans, the candidates vary
- most are good, others, not so
much. Great example is Brad
Raffensperger, Georgias Sec
retary of State, who, after the
2020 election, was presented
with videos of likely election
shenanigans in Fulton County
(that showed boxes of ballots
pulled out from under a table
after Republican watchers
were sent home) but then, did
a Sgt. Schultz (from Hogan’s
Heroes) - “I know nothing.”
The Sec of State’s office is too
important to be left to a bum
bling Raffensperger.
In the coming months,
we will receive numerous
flyers and mailers. Until you
investigate the claims your
self, don’t believe what you’re
told. Yes, go to the candidates’
website but look up news
stories as well. Does Senator
Warnock care about puppy
dogs as his ads portray? Sure
he does; problem is he doesn’t
care about crime, inflation, gas
prices or border security. And
gas prices affect Georgians
much more than whether or
not he likes dogs.
