INCIDENT REPORTS . July 6, 2022
The following incidents were reported by the Forsyth Police Department
and the Monroe County Sheriffs Office.
Boys stay overnight in girl's
home without permission
Officer Arthur Musselman
responded to a trespassing com
plaint of two male juveniles inside
a Brooklyn Avenue home without
permission around 7:53 a.m. on
June 15 A complaint was filed
after one was found to have drug-
related objects in his possession.
When Musselman arrived at
the home, he saw the two boys
standing in the backyard of the
home with a juvenile female with
her mother.
The mother told Musselman
when she woke up, she discov
ered the two boys sleeping in her
home and found out her 15-year-
old daughter had let the two into
the house and let them spend the
night without permission.
The three juveniles all said that
no physical contact had occurred
between any of them. The mother
said that she did not want to
prosecute the males at this time.
While talking with the parties,
Musselman smelled marijuana
and asked the juveniles if they
had been using or had in their
possession marijuana to which
they replied that they didn’t. He
then detained the two males and
handcuffed each of them.
Musselman then asked the
girl to get their belongings from
inside the residence and bring
them to him. As she handed
him the bags, he again smelled a
strong odor of marijuana coming
from the bags. He asked the boys
if there was any marijuana in the
bags and one stated there was a
bong but there was no marijuana
or water in it.
Musselman found a green cir
cular bong, a vaporizer, THC oil,
a tray with used for holding loose
marijuana, a butane lighter and a
small blued semi-automatic rep
lica BB gun. The juvenile officer
advised Musselman to release the
boy to his mother and complete a
juvenile complaint for possession
and use of drug-related objects.
Warrants taken out on
man for choking his ex
Warrants were taken out on
a man for false imprisonment,
aggravated assault, and cruelty
to children after officers David
Asbell and Arthur Musselman
responded to a home on Union
Hill Drive regarding a domestic
issue on June 15.
A woman told the officers her
ex had gone to her apartment on
the night before took her keys
and phone and would not let her
leave. She added he told her he
would choke her, cut her up, and
feed her to the alligators out at the
farm in Juliette. She said he dam
aged her school uniforms and
other clothing saying she did not
ever need to leave the apartment
for classes or for work.
He then choked her in front of
her 3-year-old by lifting her up by
the throat until her feet did not
touch the floor. She said he went
out the front door for something
and she took the chance to es
cape, running across the street to
a residence and called for help.
She was given a victims rights
form and was advised to contact
the Care Cottage.
