Sheriff Brad Freeman said investigators have sent the hand-written letter, which came in the mail to the police department, to the GBI crime lab to try to find some DNA on the letter that might lead them to the suspect. Hall had interviewed all Forsyth police officers in the spring after fielding repeated complaints from local gadfly Scott Bogulski. After the interviews she gave Harris a list of changes to implement, including taking away the chief’s 2020 Chevy Tahoe and giving it to patrol of ficers. Hall also told Harris to wear a tie or dress uniform, and asked Harris to give her more than 30 days notice if he retires. Harris has been with the city 38 years and is fully vested when he chooses to retire. Asked for com ment, Hall said the threat is under investigation. But the truck driver, Theopulis Jackson, 49, of Albany, said that he was in the middle lane, and the car hit his truck, making him hit the median wall. There were skid marks starting in the middle lane and scrapes on the wall where both vehicles stopped. The car was found wedged under the trucks fuel tank. The truck hit a sign pole that scraped off one side of the trailer. This sent the mattresses from the truck, scattering them across the northbound lanes of 1-475 and snarling traffic for hours. Brandon Cox died when his motorcycle struck an SUV in a head-on collision around 8:34 p.m. on Monday, July 11. Cox 3 was traveling west K in the 10000 block COX of Zebulon Road, almost to Shi Road, when he collided with the front end of an SUV that was travel ing east and making a left hand turn into a driveway. Cox was pro nounced dead on the scene.
