The Dawgs are coached by Jay Williams. Players are Fish

CORRECTION
A story in the July 13 Reporter “Chambless takes 4th
in Amateur Qualifier,” should have said that Chambless
tied for 7th, not 22nd, in the Golden Isles Invitational golf
tournament. Chambless shot 70,69, and 66 for a total
score of205,11 shots under par for the tournament. The
results in last weeks story were from his 2021 perfor
mance at the same tournament.
The Cardinals are coached by Ross Cargle. Players
are Wade Vaughn, Colton Mcclure, Austyn Willis, Reid
Vaughn, Denver Martin, Asa Cargle, Bishop Burns, Ema-
leigh Nutt and Archer Harmon.
The Gators are coached by Clint Keller. Players are

Bankston gets first
win for Bacon
Mary Persons alumni Jaden Bankston got his first
win as pitcher for the Macon Bacon on July 1 6. The
former Bulldog performed well in his first start for the
Bacon, pitching five innings against Catawba Valley.
Bankston had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. Bankston, who
pitches at South Georgia College in Douglas, only
allowed 3 hits and 1 run. Macon won the game 1 7-5.
The Bacon s next home game is against Florence on
July 21 at 7 p.m.
