The 6-person jury took just 30 minutes to deter mine on Tuesday that Alleta Mays Dent wrongfully took the home of the late Fred Cross at 118 Gibson Road near Bolingbroke. Judge Tommy Wilson not only gave the home and property back to the Cross family, but also ordered Dent to pay the family’s $30,000 in legal bills. (Steve Reece) Fla. man crashes into deputy at the Super 8 By Will Davis publisher™ my mcr.net A Florida man faces mul tiple charges after fleeing Monroe County deputies and then crashing into a Hall County patrol car at the Super 8 motel in Forsyth on Thursday, Aug. 11. It started around 1 p.m. when deputy Anthony “Rock” Thompson saw a Dodge Charger impeding the flow of traffic in the fast lane on 1-75 south near the Hwy. 42 exit. Here’s what happened next ac cording to Thompson: the driver slowed down and feigned like he was going to stop, and then punched the gas and took off. Thompson pursued and the driver, later identified as Donald Morse, 31, of Apopka, Fla., took the Hwy. 42 exit and sped down Collier Road. He then turned on Indian Springs Drive and sped behind Volume Chevrolet and then cut into the parking lot of the Monroe Medical Center, the former Walmart. Ingram told council, which has been under pressure to do something about the property after four years without work, that he now plans to focus on fin ishing the clubhouse and the first 20 residential emits of the project.
