Beverly Aldridge
October 14,1954 - August 12, 2022
Beverly Aldridge, a retired Monroe
County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and
life-long resident of Forsyth, went to
be with the Lord on Aug. 12,2022.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m„
Wednesday, Aug. 17,2022 at Monroe
County Memorial Chapel will visitation
one hour prior to the service. Inter
ment will follow in Monroe Memorial
Gardens., Rev. Don Shepherd and Rev.
Christa Shepherd will officiate.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Glenn Aldridge; her
daughters, Angel Aldridge and Jennifer Vinson (Jesse);
grandson, James Dorris; brother, Gary Reid; nephews,
Derrick Reid, Darren Reid (Wendy), and Daylon Reid
(Terri); one niece, Dana Reid, and their children.
She was predeceased in death by her father, Edward
Reid, mother, Lillian Merle Reid, and sister, Daphne Reid.
Beverly was born on Oct. 14,1954 to Edward and Lil
lian Reid. She graduated from Mary Persons High School
and went on to serve her community as the first female
deputy for Monroe County Sheriffs Office for more than
42 years. Beverly was a devoted mother, friend, and public
servant. She never met a stranger and loved everyone
deeply. She was a blessing to not only her family, but to
her friends and community as well. She will be forever
treasured by all those who knew her.
The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, TN 38105.

Jennifer Lynn Aldridge
Jennifer Lynn Aldridge (Weaver) died peacefully on July
31 after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. She was 42 years
old. She passed with her sister Sarah by her side and her
whole family had been with her earlier in the day telling
stories and reminiscing.
Jennifer attended Mary Persons High School in Monroe
County. She was a great lover of pets and especially cats.
Her pet cats over the years were always well cared for
and they loved her in return. Her cat, Storm, loved Jen
and often curled up with her in bed or in a chair. Jennifer
loved Halloween and the Nightmare before Christmas was
her favorite. She had images and knick knacks for Jack
and Sally throughout her home. She loved the simplest
pleasures in life. She loved

November 26,1967 - August 7, 2022
Services for Steven Hosea Zellner were
held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11,2022 at Rest
Haven Cemetery, 525 Hwy. 83 South, Forsyth,
Georgia 31029. Reverend Richard Chambliss
officiated. Freeman Funeral Home had charge
of arrangements.

Tuesday, Aug. 16,2022 at Rest Haven Cem
etery, 525 Hwy. 83 South, Forsyth, Georgia
31029. Reverend Antonio Proctor presided.

Ronda Gaye Williams
Ronda Gaye Williams passed away
Sunday, May 29,2022 at her residence in
Lizella surrounded by family after a long
battle with cancer. She was preceded in
death by her father, James Gilbert Lide,
and sister, Donna Lynn Wilkerson.
Ronda is survived by her
mother, Marlene B. Evans;
three daughters, Christian
Blair Holley, Tabatha Wil
liams Fuhrman (Jordan),
and Chasta Logan Williams;
five precious grandchildren;
sister, Linda Roberson; and
five much loved nieces and
nephews.
The family wishes to thank
Rex Williams, Kevin Pippin,
and Lynn Spence for their
devoted love and attention
to Ronda.
A memorial service will be
held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
Aug. 27,2022 at Monroe
County Memorial Chapel.

Nancy Smarr
June 29,1953 - August 13, 2022
Nancy Smarr, a very loving wife,
daughter, mother and grandmother,
died unexpectedly in her sleep on Aug.
13,2022 at her home beside her loving
husband.
Visitation for family and friends was
held Tuesday Aug. 16,2022 from 1-2
p.m. at Monroe County Memorial
Chapel, Forsyth. A graveside service and
internment was held at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens
at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the
Circle of Care located at 52 Adams St in Forsyth.
Nancy was born on June 20,1953, to Sara and Harold
Thomason. Her parents loved her dearly as she grew into
adulthood. Nancy was active in a number of business
occupations throughout the years until she decided to
become a full time homemaker and caregiver to others
including her grandchildren and most recently to her ag
ing mother. Nancy was Christian by faith and previously
a member of Cascade Hills Baptist Church in Columbus.
Nancy loved her family and friends very much and she
will be missed by all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband David Smarr;
her mother Sara Gallops; her children Casey Matthews
and Jamie Rogers: her Stepson Jason Smarr: her grandchil
dren Matthew Rogers, Preston Rogers and Hogan Rogers.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Thomas Cochran
father Harold Thomason: her sisters Sandra Clark and
Betsy Thomason and her brother Mark Thomason.

Michelle Hager and cousin
Ethan Hager.

her life will be held on Aug.
