ing sealed proposals for Grounds-
Keeping at Monroe County Court
house Square and Monroe County
Administration Building. Bids must
be received by September 13,2022 at
10:00 a.m. Absolutely no bids will be
accepted after the aforementioned
time and date. Bids should be clearly
marked Sealed-Grounds-Keeping.
No faxed bids will be accepted. Bids
should be mailed to Monroe County
Purchasing Department, P.O. Box

delivered to the Purchasing Depart
ment, 38 West Main Street, Ste 2,

Monroe County reserves the right to

Requirements will be as follows:
-Must have valid Pesticides Contrac
tors License or contract out with a
company/person(s) that have valid
Pesticides Contractors License
-Must submit at least three recent
references (name, address, and
phone numbers)
-Must submit at least two current
Commercial Projects (name, ad
dress, and phone numbers)
-Must provide proof of Liability and
Workmans Compensation Insur
ance
Terms of the Contract will be as fol
lows:
Proposal shall reflect a monthly fee
which includes all labor, pine straw,
herbicides, flowers, and fertilizer
to be used at both sites. Contractor
will be paid the same amount each
month,
therefore, contractor should prorate
all materials and labor into a month
ly fee.
Contract will be for one (1) year.
The County reserves the right to ter
minate the contract at any time if the
terms of the contract are not hon
ored or requirements are not com
pleted to the County’s satisfaction.
Scope of Work: There will be a man
datory pre-bid meeting August 19,
2022; at 10:00 a.m. The location will
be Monroe County Courthouse, 1
Courthouse Square, Forsyth GA
31029.
All proposals must be represented at
the mandatory pre-bid conference
in order for their bid to be accepted.
LANDSCAPING GUIDELINES
The following guidelines should be
used when submitting your proposal
for annual contract:
-Mowing all turf area weekly during
growing season (April-October) and
as needed during - Winter months to
maintain an attractive turf.
-Trimming out (weed-eating) all
turf areas on same interval
-Edging all walks, curbs, beds, etc.
on the same interval
-Blow off all hard surfaces on same
interval and to include several times
during the Winter season when
needed
-Removing all fallen limbs, trash and
weeds on same interval
-Pruning all shrubs as needed, ac
cording to standards
-Fertilize turf three (3) times and
shrubs twice a year
-Apply pre-emergence herbicide and
post herbicide twice a year
-Remove or mulch leaves as needed
-Supply and install pine straw mulch
once per year in all beds (mulching
material shall be applied at a thick
ness of three (3) inches
-Vendors will be responsible for dis
posing of clipping, leaves, limbs, and
debris from the county property

Sealed Bids: Sealed Bids for the
construction of the McCowan Road
Street and Drainage Improvements
will be received, by Monroe County
Board of Commissioners, at the
Monroe County Board of Commis
sioners’ Office 3rd floor of the Mon
roe County Administration Build
ing, 38 West Main Street Forsyth,
GA 31029, until 11:00 A.M , Thurs
day, October 6, 2022, local time, at
which time the Bids received will be
publicly opened and read. No bid
may be withdrawn after the closing
time for receipt of bids for a period
of sixty (60) days.
Contractor License: Any Contrac
tor submitting a bid must be a pre
qualified Georgia Department of
Transportation Contractor. License
numbers must be written on the face
of the bid envelope. No bid will be
opened unless the license number is
clearly shown. See Instructions to
Bidders for additional bidding re
quirements.
Work to Be Done: The work to be
done shall consist of furnishing all
labor, materials, and equipment
necessary to construct the proposed
McCowan Road Street and Drain
age Improvements as shown on the
construction drawings. In general,
construction consists of 1.5 miles of
base and paving construction of ru
ral roadway with associated ditches,
erosion control measures and all
other associated appurtenances nec
essary for completion of the project.
This work will be awarded in one
(1) contract with a 180 consecutive
calendar day construction schedule.

bidding purposes at the Monroe
County Purchasing Department,
located at the Monroe County Pur
chasing Department, 38 West Main

of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. The date that
the Bidding Documents are trans
mitted will be considered the pro

Owner nor Engineer will be respon

Monroe County Board of Commis
sioners and the Monroe County
Recreation Department are seeking
Request for Proposal for their All
Abilities restroom. The proposal
is for the renovation of the existing
bathrooms to create an ADA friend
ly restroom space consisting of mul
tiple single restrooms.
There is currently a concession
stand within the building that can
be repurposed for additional space
but would require closing in an elec
trical/maintenance closet. We are
requesting at least 3 but would like
to have 4 usable restroom spaces.
These spaces should comply with all
ADA specifications.
To be considered, proposals must
be received by 10:00 a.m., Monroe
