MP Volley Dawgs spike
Northside, improve to 10-6

The Bulldogs matched up against
the Northside Eagles on Thursday,
Sept. 15, where the Dogs put up an
amazing fight and won 3-2 in a huge
comeback. The MP’s total team effort
pushed the team to victory and im
proved the squad’s record to 10-6.
On Sept. 13, the Mary Persons
Varsity Volleyball team took on the
Upson-Lee Knights in a home con
ference match. The Dogs dominated
in a 2-0 sweep victory led by Mack
enzie Lavinka, whose 15 straight
serves significantly impacted the
game. Hannah Foies and Clara Smith
put on phenomenal performances
as well which also earned them the
titles of Players of the Game. The win
advanced the Mary Person’s Varsity
team’s record to 9-6 and dropped
Upson-Lee to 6-20.
On Thursday, Sep. 22, the Mary
Persons Varsity squad will once again
match up against Peach County, and
on Tuesday, Sept. 27, they’ll face off
against Mount de Sales Academy.
