‘Cat woman’ arrested after refusing
to get out of Culloden mayor’s car
By Steve Reece
stevereece@gmail.com
A woman walked into
the Culloden City Coun
cil Chambers
with a purse and
a cat in a cage
and after a ride
to her home in
Culloden mayor
Lynn Millers car,
she refused to exit
and was eventu
ally charged with
obstruction.
According
to the incident
report, deputy Enrique
Hogan responded to the
home of Jennifer Peele,
48, at 377 Main Street in
Culloden on Sept. 14. He
met with Mayor Miller at
the residence who told him
that after Peele entered the
chambers, she gave her a
ride home, but she was still
in her car and wouldn’t get
out.
Hogan asked
Peele if she was ok,
but she wouldn’t
answer. He then
asked her to get
out of the vehicle,
but she just shook
her head left to
right indicating
that she would not
comply and ignor
ing all the deputy’s
attempts to speak with her.
Peele seemed to be hav
ing some sort of emotional
crisis and began swatting
at things flying in the air
that weren’t there. Hogan
continued try to convince
her to exit the vehicle, but
still got no answer. She
would not look at him nor
respond to any of his com
mands but instead contin
ued to swat at nothing.
Upon arrival of Cpl.
Wade Kendrick, Ho
gan again asked Peele to
remove herself from the ve
hicle and she again ignored
his command. The deputies
then grabbed her arms and
pulled her from the vehicle.
She was placed on the
ground in a prone position
handcuffed.
Peele was taken to the
Monroe County Jail
and was charged with of
obstruction of law enforce
ment.

Woman charged with
screwdriver attack
A Forsyth woman was
charged with attacking her
boyfriend with a screw
driver on Sept. 15.
According to the
sheriff’s report,
deputy Enrique
Hogan responded
to 2169 Juliette
Road, Lot 2 in ref
erence to a domes
tic dispute with
a weapon. When
Hogan arrived,
the complainant, Mitchell
Craig, was standing outside
the home next to the road.
He was shirtless with dried
blood coming from his
upper right arm and on the
web of his left hand. His
cuts appeared to be defen
sive wounds.
Miller told Hogan that his
live-in girlfriend, Rebekah
Claire Davis, 38, had
stabbed him with a screw
driver because she was
enraged that he had spoken
to her sister about her be
havior towards men. Davis
was inside the home with
her two children,
a 7-year-old boy
and a 9-year-old
girl when Hogan
spoke with her.
He asked her
what happened,
and she replied,
“He tried to rape
me, it was an acci
dent, I know what
happen (sic) to his arm, but
I don’t know what happen
to his hand.” Davis further
stated that she was trying to
use the screwdriver to se
cure the bedroom door, but
Miller was pushing on it.
Davis was arrested and
charged with aggravated
assault against Miller. Her
children were placed into
the custody of the Care
Cottage.
