CITY OF FORSYTH/ZONING
VARIANCE
The Mayor and Council of the City
of Forsyth will consider and the
public may be heard as to an ordi
nance providing for the alteration
and amendment of a Zoning District
and the Zoning Map of the City of
Forsyth by variance, at City Coun
cil Chambers at City Hall at 23 E.
Main Street in Forsyth at 6:00 PM
on the 3rd day of January, 2023, or as
soon thereafter as the matter may be
reached, and the property subject of
the application for a zoning variance

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is hereby accepting sealed bids for the HVAC
System located at Monroe County Emergency Services, 42 Towaliga River Drive, Forsyth GA

satisfactorily complete all the Mechanical FIVAC work that is necessary according to specifications

Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment
and appurtenances necessary for the Lake Shore Drive Storm
Drainage Repair will be received by the Monroe County Board of
Commissioners in the Board Room on the 3rd Floor of the Monroe
County Administration Building at 38 West Main Street, Forsyth, Geor
gia 31029 until 11:00 A.M. local time, on Thursday, January 12. 2023.
and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All bidders
must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the same location at
10:00 AM. local time on January 5. 2023. All bid questions must be
submitted in written form to the Engineer by 5:00 P.M. on January 6.
2023. The Bidder should attend the pre-bid meeting in its entirety.
The Project consists of removing and replacing approximately 60
LF of 48 inch diameter storm drain and approximately 511 square
yards of full depth HMA reconstruction on Lake Shore Drive.
The contract time is 120 calendar days for this project. Liquidated
damages in the amount of $100.00 shall be assessed for each day
the work extends beyond the Contract Time.
The work in the Contract will be awarded on the basis of the total
sum bid submitted by the lowest qualified and responsive bidder.
The Instructions to Bidders, Contract Agreement, Specifications
and forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond and
other Contract Documents may be examined at the office of Carter

Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the

company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed
in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of
10% of the Bid.
The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish
a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the
amount of 100 percent of the Bid.
All necessary permits for this project are expected to be acquired
prior to the commencement of any construction activities.
All anticipated easements and rights-of-way are expected to be
acquired prior to commencement of construction activities.
