The Mayor and Council of the City
of Forsyth will consider and the
public may be heard as to an ordi
nance providing for the alteration
and amendment of a zoning dis
trict and the zoning map of the City
of Forsyth, at 6:00 PM on the 5th
day of June 2023, or as soon there
after as the matter may be reached,
at City Hall Council Chambers, at
23 E. Main Street in Forsyth, and
the property subject of the applica
tion for re-zoning request is a tract
of 1.51 acres identified as Monroe
County Tax Parcel F17 002, F17
003, and FI7 003A. The applicant
for the re-zoning is Willie James
Green. The request for re-zoning is
that the property be re-zoned from
Neighborhood Shopping (NS) to
Highway Business (HB), for a pro
posed use of Mixed Use/Shopping/
Housing. The matter was present
ed to Forsyth Planning & Zoning
Commission on April 24, 2023, and
a recommendation from P & Z was
to deny the re-zoning as requested.
A copy of the proposed ordinance is
available for inspection in the office
of the Clerk of the City of Forsyth
during regular business hours. The
public hearing will be conducted in
accordance with the procedures set
out in the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Forsyth and generally pursu
ant to Article 31 of the City Zoning

• 1 kg potatoes,
peeled and thinly sliced
• 300 ml thickened cream
• 200 ml sour cream
• 2 tbsp chopped chives
plus extra for garnish
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
• 2 cups grated tasty cheese
1. Preheat oven to 200° C/180° C fan forced.
Lightly grease a 2.5 L or 10 cup capacity
oven dish.
2. Arrange half the potatoes in the dish.
Combine the thickened cream, sour cream,
and chives in a large jug, and season with
salt. Pour half over the potatoes, season
with freshly cracked black pepper, and
scatter over half the tasty cheese. Top with
remaining potatoes, pour over remaining
cream mixture and season again with
freshly cracked black pepper. Cover with
foil and bake for 60 minutes.
3. Remove foil, and scatter remaining tasty
cheese and Parmesan over the bake. Cook
for 20-25 minutes or until bubbling and
golden. Scatter over extra chives and leave
to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
