Ijj Grippe Cured by Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy.
The great danger from la grippe is
of Its resulting in pneumonia. This
can be avoided by using Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy. Among the tens of
thousands who used this remedy dur
ing the epidemic of la grippe of recent
years no case has ever been known to
result in pneumonia, which shows
conclusively that it is a certain pre
ventive of that dangerous disease.

BOLL WEEVIL ARE
IN PIKE COUNTY.
Is the Opinion of Farmers in That
Section.
Bamesville, Ga„ March 28.—There Is
the deepest interest felt among the
farmers and business men of this city
and section over the appearance of the
much-talked-of boll weevil.. For sev
eral days there have been on exhi
bition at Baird & Hunt's warehouse a
number of weevils which have been
examined by nearly every one who has
been in the city and it is practically
agreed that they correspond perfectly
with the pictures and deseftptions
given of the boil weevil in Texas.
The specimens on exhibition came
from the farm of Dr. Bairon. a suc
cessful farmer at Liberty Hill, in this
county. They made their appearance
some time ago but no attention was
paid them. Dr. Barron says that the
yield on the held where the weevils
were found was short and he could not
account for It at the time as he had
not made a close examination. He is
now convinced that it is due to the
work of the insects. He found them
plentiful in the cotton and those on
exhibition here are in a glass jar with
a boll of cotton, which they seem to
devour with avidity.
The situation is viewed with alarm
by many of the people of this vicinity.
Several of the specimens have been
sent to the Department of Agriculture
at Atlanta to Commissioner Stevens.
The farmers here are satisfied that
the greatly dreaded boll weevil has
already made his advent into the
Georgia cotton fields.

ceived. Mr. .Tenkins is popular with
all of the people of this section.
