Treatment for Calf'a Bite.
Ed. M. White of Gainesville, fore
man of the Gainesville Iron Works,
came to Atlanta yesterday to take the
Pasteur treatment because he was bit
ten by a dying calf which was frothing
at the mouth, displaying symptoms of
hydrophobia and whose life he was at
tempting to save. The usual treatment
was administered at the institute, anil
it will be continued daily for twenty
one davs.
While Mr. White was endeavoring to
give the stricken animal medicine the
calf's teeth closed upon his right hand,
scratching the skin and covering the
member with saliva and froth.

Grady Hospital from injuries sustained
in a buggy accident Saturday. While
alighting from his buggy on Central

expected by his physicians.
SPENcFwON IN WARE.
Defeat of the Independents by the
Democrats.
Waycross, Ga., Oct. s.—Ware coun
ty’s Democracy to-day defeated inde
pendentism by a vote of nearly 4 to 1.
Dr. J. M. Spence, Democratic nomi
nee. won over J. R. McDonald, by over
400 majority. The contest had been
most bitterly fought and on account of
McDonald's laige family connection it
was believed for several days past that
he stood a good chance of being elect
ed. The Democrats, however, stood al
most solidly for Spence.
Negro registered voters for the first
time in years had a chance to vote
against a Democrat and their solid
vote went to the Independent.
All the amendments were carried by
good majorities.

Proprietors P. P. P.:
It becomes my duty to add my tes
timonial to the wonderful curative
properties of P. P. P. (Prickly Ash,
Poke Root and Potassium). Some
years ago I bruised my ankle on my
saddle stirrup; from a little scratch
the place began to enlarge until it
was as large as the palm of my hand,
discharging pus. exposing part of the
bone. I called to see physicians, and
they pronounced it a fever sore, and
incurable. It became so painful, and
swollen so badly that I tried bandage
for relief until I secured a rubber sup
porter; after securing the rubber sup
porter for temporary relief. I began
to use internal remedies, trying sev
eral different kinds wdthout any ap
parent relief. I resolved to try P. P. P.,
which I did. After using one bottle
the result was such that I continued
until the sixth bottle was used, w'hen
my rubber supporter was no longer
required, as the sore was completely
healed and swelling entirely gone. I
therefore take pleasure in saying to
the public generally that ft is my be
lief. from actual experience, that the
use of P. P. P., if properly persisted
in. will cure any case of impure blood
or blood poisoning. Respectfully,
