Asthma and Hay Fever Cured.
The truly marvelous cures of Asthma,
which are being effected by Dr. Schiff
mann’s Asthma Cure certainly call for
notice.
Rev. G. L. Taylor, of Washburn, 111.,
•ays: “Some 7 years ago my wife used
several packages of your Asthma Cure
which resulted In a permanent cure.”
A Hay Fever sufferer writes: “I have
been a sufferer from Hay Fever for over
SO years, and it seemed harder every year.
The first night I used your Asthma Cure
I was greatly relieved. It cured my cough
after using a few times. I shall recom

SOUTH CAROLINA MURDERER
GRANTED A REPRIEVE.
Hoyt Hayes Given a Two Weeks'
Lea.se on Life.
Columbia, S. C\. Oct. 11.—Hoyt
Hayes, the young white man convicted
In Oconee county for the murder of his
wife and sentenced to be hanged on
Oet. 14, has been granted a two weeks’
reprieve by Gov. Heyward. Owing to
the illness of the Governor, he has
not been able to give thorough consid
eration to the two numerously signed
petitions, one asking that Hayes’ sen
tence be commuted to life imprison
ment and the other urging that the
sentence of the court be executed.
Hayes was to have been hanged on
Friday and perhaps Sheriff Moss of
Oconee had already begun prepara
tions on the scaffold.
Gov. Heyward has indicated no lean
ing one way or the other, but stated
positively that his action in granting
the respite would have no bearing on
his final action.

Bristol, Tenn., Oct. 11.—'W. 8. Bur

to death near his home in the suburbs
of the city to-night, and Henry Cole,

The shooting was done by one of
four members of a family of Watsons,
to whose home near that of Burton
the murdered man and Cole had gone
to protest against loud profanity and
disorderly conduct on the part of the
Watsons. The Watsons disappeared
soon after the shooting and no arrests
have been made.
Burton was shot once in the head
and three times in the hands as he
attempted to seize the pistol of his as
