An iuvestt- E on into this dhcrepcncy brought out feet, at alleged, that about three bou- 1 bales, belsuging to different partiss sad left on storage, bad mysteriously dis appeared, and are supposed to have found a European market without first paying the tax required by the Internal Revenue 4v. The warehouse iu which this cotton pus stored, was with its contents, destroyed Op fire s few months since, and the thtw hundred bales now alleged to have been surreptitiously removed were supposed to have been burned.
