Not long ago' while confined to my room l>y
sickness, s little lady on Peachtree street brought
sunshine with her presence into my sick
She left with me some old Atlanta papers that she
thought would amuse mo.
The first one I picked up was the Mi celiacjr and
Whig, C. R. Hanlelter proprietor, dated April 27,
1&I9. It was a hand bill 10x21. printed on one side,
with one half column reading matter. It had
floating at its mas.-head for governor Kdward
Young Hill, of Troup. The first paragraph in the
editorial column read thns: ' Our patrons must
