which b aitoated about one hundred yards
from tlc huuse, and after fastening one end
of the rope to ajoist, tbo tied the other end
of the rope around her neck and then swung

Emma wu mbaed by the family, nothing se

Inches from the barn floor, and her limbs were

caused by the intelligence.
The young lady bu ever lived happily at

loated sorrow preying on her
mind, It was a secret one,

the family. Thb fact renders Inexplicable
her deslie to end her own life just
in tho prime of a happy
young womanhood. But that
she had long beon meditating death, and
courting the grim destroyer, b evidenced by
the foot that on two previoua occasions she
had attempted self destruction. She has for
several yean been the subject of abort period
ical attacksof insanity, and it b supposed tha I
her suicide wu committed during ono ofthese
attacks. No motive is known to any of tho
family that could have Induced her to take

her act cannot bo accounted for on any other
Idea than that J oat stated.
