This makes a total of fourteen deaths among the passengers taken from the cholera-infested steamship Alesia, on her ani \,al in this port eleven days ago. There are ten others sick with the disease. Two Men's Curiosity Lead to Their Death— Suffocated by Foul Air. Youjtgstown, Ohio, October 4.—William Wood, aged 15, son of J'rank Wood, of the Mower and Reaper company, ami his father’s coachman, Joe Hawkins, drove out to the All**n coal mine, an abandoned slope, yester day evening to explore it. Not returning, a search was made and at 4 o’clock this morning both wore found dead in the; slope they had been suffoi ated bv foul air. A party of miners pumped into the slope for txvo hours today, be fore the bodies could b<* taken out. Wood in tended to leave for college today.
