JUST FROM GKORGIA.
1 here, at Grlflin, at break of day.
The bugles sounded; In bright array
Tin- man were marshaled from far away!
And armies vast
As the sea tiled past
In silvery coats of mall arrayed;
Invincible as “the old brigade,”
They answered th*r® to the bugle call.
And the double standard waved >ver all!
There, at Griftin, from itount and main—
From the hills of the north and the south
ern plain.
They gathered, thicker than drops of rain
From a summer sky
When a storm sweeps by!
They gathered legions of loj al men.
And .Moryan came to the front, and then
His voice rang out like a clarion call.
And the double standard waved over all!
There, in the glory at GrllHn town.
Th* re rose a cry that no stoim conld drown:
••Away with the shackles that chain us
down!”
And from hill and glen
With a grand ”Amen!”
The p« ople answe red, and cheer on cheer
Thrilled through the glorious atmosphere!
The sol Hers marched tu the bugle call.

to them. The negroes w« re secured and
carried to the neighboring forest, the en
raged mob gave them a Q w minutes for
prayer, when the ropes were adjusted and
two spirits w«»re launched into eternity.
The men were not masked and made no
effort in any way to conceal their identity.
All was quiet this morning.
It was only a eouplv of years ago that a
race riot occurred in that county. The ne

The circuit court was in session at the

FEEDING THE NERVIG
From The Courtcr-Herald, Saginaw, Mich.
Do you see those two men walking up
t|»e street? One has a vigorous, firm, elas
ic step; his head well up, his eyes biiv.ht,
a picture of a sound and perfect man. The
other is bent, his knees weak and unsteady’*
a listless air about his whole make-up.
He has the appearance of one who is
broken in health, and who has to wh.p
( himself to every task. The difference b< -
tween jhese two men is a difference of
nerve power. With nerve power comes
energy, enterprise, force, vigor—all things
which make existence enjoyable. Without
it the muscles cannot act, the brain can
not think. Bear in mind that life is nerve
power, and if you wish to keep it you must
feed the nerves. Do not simply’ stimulate
! liit-iii. Give them food w’hich will renew
J the»r life and make them sound and healthy
I that they may ward oft disease.
I‘rubably paralysis is the nearest disease
to nerve death that we know, and we,
I therefore, cite a case of It beiow to show
, what a certain lanious nerve building pr»-p
--| aration can oo to feed and absolutely re
tJlore almost hope’essly wasted nerves.
