many years been In the Nation bank,
of which Hon. Herman Myers, formerly

seems certain that this rumor was well
founded and the freight bureau will
have a new head hereafter.
Mr. Jones declined to serve another
term as president of the Chamber of
Commerce at the annual election of of
ficers last year, giving as his reason the
urgency of his business duties. The
bureau. It Is felt, will suffer a distinct
loss In the refusal by Mr. Jones to
serve any longer In an official rapacity.
The directors will meet at 3 o’clock
Tuesday afternoon at the freight bu
reau office for the purpose of electing
officers. There will necessarily be a
shake-up. It Is not "known. who will
succeed Mr. Jones as president.
