A Sale of Shoes
$2.49 For Models That Were $3.50 to $5.00
If you didn’t know this store so well, an announcement of
such a sale as this might appear exaggerated; but you are aware
that we are as carefully accurate in our advertisements as in
our personal, face-to-face statements.
There’s a very good reason for this sale, extraordinary as
the offerings are. It is this: After April 1st we are to be ex
clusive agents and sole sellers of Ziegler Brothers’ shoes in this
territory. In justice to the Messrs. Ziegler and to ourselves we
feel that we should, as far as practicable, confine our attention
to their lines. Hence this sale; a closing-out of other makes.
The shoes included in the offering are all new and stylish;
they are from well known manufacturers of fine footwear and
are thoroughly worthy in materials and workmanship.
There are button, plain lace and blucher styles in all popu
lar leathers—gun metal calf, vici kid and patent leather; heavy,
medium and light weights; welted and turned soles; Military,
Cuban, French and medium heels; straight and swing lasts;
various toe shapes.
All sizes and widths in the lot, though not in every style.
Regular prices were~$3.50, $4.00, $4.50 and $5.00; tomorrow
morning the entire line will go on sale at
