noon. W. S. Bryant, bookkeeper for
Vestal, who wltneaaad tha tragedy, was
arrested In Hits city last night aboard
o train In company with Mrs. Vestal,
the widow, charged with Ihe murder,

wealthy young lumberman of this city.
Bryant waa with Mrs. Vestal, and
thev were en route to Baxter, follow
ing the funeral, held In thta city yea

Mrs Vestal wanted to remain hare

Infantry centennial will be marked by
the opening of a new armory on King
atreet with two days’ ceremonies.
Tonight a big recaption will be held
In the new armory building, formerly
the old Calhoun Hotel.
Hon. A. T. Smyths, chairman of the
committee, will transfer the building
to the possession nf Captain W. B.
Lanneau and General J. C. Boyd, adju
