March 28.—An alarm called the entire fire department of the city at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning to the Eddlns^ Manufacturing Company’s huge’ plant. In spite of every effort made the large building the south western portion of the works, containing an immense amount of valuable machinery, was totally de stroyed, Involving a losa of at least $25,060, with an Insurance of $10,000. Hardman, of Commerce, Ga., state sen ator from his district and prominent In political circles of North Georgia, was married in this city Tuesday night to Miss Emma Grillln, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Newton Grillln. The ceremony was performed about 10 o’clock at the family home and was witnessed only by the Immediate fam ily. The couple left for points North feature of the Atlanta schools. The visits have proven an education along n practical line, and many of the teach ers have been given a new insight into one of the most wonderful examples of modern enterprise—the making of a dally newspaper.
