Ala., March 28.—While a Southern freight train was standing In the yards here Tuesday, unknown par ties broke open a box car containing side meat and took from the car fif teen sides, averaging In weight about inn pounds. They dumped the meat down a high embankment and evident ly Intended to take It away later. Just as the train was pulling out of the yards It was discovered that the car had been broken open and the meat was found and replaced. / EDUCATORS OF ALABAMA IN SESSION IN MOBILE. Ala., March 28.—The Ala bama Educational Association met here In annual session today, with promi nent educators present from all parts of the state and from several adjoin ing states. Sessions will be held each afternoon and night until Saturday morning. At the meeting of city and county superintendents this morning Charles B. March 28.—Tuesday was return day In the superior court and late In the afternoon a number of suits were filed, divorce suits having a large per cent as follows; Mrs. Bessie Lee Haddocks against her husband, John C. Haddocks, charg- Ing cruelty, drunkenness and threats against her life. In addition to a total divorce, she asks for the custody of her child. Mrs. Willie Walts ngainst her hus- band. John A. C. Walts, charging aban donment, cruel treatment and habitual drunkenness. One of the most Interesting rases filed was that of Charles T. Miller against his wife, Mrs. Pearl Miller. The husband alleges that his wife was very cruel and unkind to him In that she without cause or reason, justification or excuse, on the streets of the city of Macon, on the corner of Fourth nnd Cherry streets, and In the day time, with a certain whip, did make a violent assault on him and then nnd there strike and beat him, which greatly hu miliated him and caused him much mental anguish and suffering.
