to the official advices, the disturbances
In Roumanla are extending. The whole
province of Krajova Is said to be In
the hands of the Insurgents.

Bucharest, April 1.—An official cir
cular states that there has been no
fresh revolt In the last twenty-four
hours and that the situation has Im
proved throughout the' country. Troops
are pursuing some Isolated bands -of
Insurgents. A large number of lead
ers have been arrested.
At Rusvad a conflict has occurred. In
which eleven peasants were killed. Tho
sanguinary affair at Ballestl lias exer
cised a deterrent influence In the west
ern districts.
The communes of Puerezanl and PI
genl are In full revolt and troops have
been dispatched thither.
Disturbances are reported from Put-
na In .Moldavia und many cases of
plundering, Ineendlarlsm and armed
conflict In Wallachlu.
A number of peasnnts have been
killed and wounded at Langa and Patu-
lete.
Agents from anarchistic organiza
tions are seeking to prepare the peas
ants for a general uprising. If the
troops Inflict farther brutalities. If
such a revolt Is precipitated a serious
civil war Is almost certain to result
The government says the situation Is
quieting down. In some province* the
rlngleuders of the peasants have been
captured, but new leaders are ready to
take their places.
