The principal event of the week here
has been tlie course of lectures di
livered at the Lawton Memorial by Dr.
George E. Vincent, of Chicago, under
the auspices of the Woman's Club. The
six lectures were confined to sociolog
ical subjects.
A number of the younger people have
come homo for the Easter holidays and
their stay will be a very pleasant one
among the college set. Miss Elinor
Shotter and Allas Alary Shotter have
returned from Maryland for a brief
visit. Aliss Janet Menxtes la home
from Chestnut Hill, Pa. Miss Dorothy
Baldwin from Bryn Mawr, and Miss
Rosalind Wood from Lucy Cobb.
Next week there will be no end of
entertaining, among the largest af
fairs being Miss Minnie Alackall'a
dance at the Casino on Wednesday
evening. Other events will be Mrs.
Carmichael's card party on Tuesday.

with crab apple and dogwood blos
soms and ferns. The dining table had

nations with the exception- of Allas
Pritchard, who carried white ones. The
color scheme of pink and white was
carried out effectively In the cakes and
the Ives were In pink roses.
Assisting Mrs. Wilson In receiving
and serving her guests were Mrs. Tom

On Tuesday afternoon, April 4, tha
ladles of Hie Episcopal church will give
a lea at the residence of Airs. John
Mills, on North Hill street. A drawing
contest will be held and a handsome
piece of china given as a prise.
Alaater Louis Thompson celebrated
his 6th birthday Wednesday with a
party to hla little friends. An Easter
chicken was given as a souvenir to
each guest.
