AND MR. VALDEMAR GUDE,
The danco given at Segadlo's Thurs
day evening was a pretty compliment
to Miss Helen O’Brien and Mr. Valdc-
mar Oude from a number of their
young men friends. Tho occasion as
sembled over one hundred young peo
ple, and the hall presented a beautiful
and brilliant scene. Mrs. John Murphy,
Mn. Lucian Harris. Mrs. W. T. Gentry
and Mrs. J. G. Scrutchln acted os
chaperons.
Miss O’Brien wore a charming gown
of white crepe de chine, fashioned with
t>an<|,B of lace and with an effective
touch of pink velvet showing In tho
high celnture.
Mrs. Murphy wore a lingerie gown of
white mull, and Mrs. Lucian Harris was
In black lace. Mrs. Gentry wore black
mull and lace, and Mrs. Scrutchln'.

trimmed.

gown of white dotted Swiss, fashioned
with lace.
Miss Nina Gentry wore a pretty
darning frock of white silk, made with
tiny ruffles of lace.
•Miss Helen Payne was admired In a
pink flowered muslin, and Miss Gladys
Levin wore white lace over yellow sdlk.
Miss Edith Russell’s gown was of
Hue embroidered mull and was partic
ularly becoming.
Miss Halite Cobb Johnson was In pink
muslin, and Miss Elisabeth Adair wore
white.
Miss Rollne Clark wore pink, and
Miss Lottie Wyllo was gowned In em
broidered net, made over silk.
Miss Bessie Pope’s pretty dancing
dress was of A’hlte taffeta, and Miss
Louise Hawkins wore white lace.
Miss Kate Waldo was gowned in
flowered muslin. ’
Miss Margaret Ladson’s gown was of
yellow messallne.
Miss Alice Vandiver Wore blue em
broidered mull.
An attractive visitor was Miss EUan
Meeks, who Is the guest of her sister,
Mrs. Robert Cooney. Miss Moeks wore
blue silk mull, with girdle of Persian
ribbon.
A large number of the young men of
the society contingent were present.

MRS. MOODY AND MRS. TUCKER
ENTERTAIN INFORMALLY.
Thursday at the beautiful home of
Mrs. Moody, on Fourteenth street, Mrs.
Moody and Mrs. Tucker entertained In
formally about forty of their friends.
Mrs. Moody’s home was decorated
elaborately with spring flowers, violets
and- azaleas, filling bowls and vi
every side. Interesting games
played, at the conclusion of which
prises were awarded. The first, a out
glass dish, was won by Miss Hoyt, of
Chicago. The second was a pair of silk
hose, and went to Mrs. J. F. Hchwar-
man, and the consolation, some beauti
ful hand-pointed score cards, went to
Mrs. Richard Elliott Miller.
Mrs. Moody received here guests In
a handsome gown of white lace, and
Mrs. Tucker wore a smart spring suit
In tiny checks.
