The state fair In Atlanta next fall
Is now a certainty.
The executive* committee of the At
lanta Fair Association ami the commit
tee from the Georgia Agricultural So
ciety held a conference Friday morning
at the Majestic Hotel und the contract
for the fair was decided upon. This
will be signed during the day and from
now on the fulr will be boosted until
the gates are opened on what the offi
cials want to be tho best state fair In
rgia's history.

Chicago, May S.—Heavy storms
which In some purts amount almost to
blizzards, are sweeping over a largo

It was decided at the meeting to have
a fair of two weeks’ duration with tho
dates from October 10 to October 26,

been soliciting funds for the, fair re
ported at the meeting that the $15,000
necessary to hold the fair was cither
subscribed or In sight, and many new
names were reported as having Joined
the subscribers' list.

W. L. Dyer.
W\ L. Dyer, aged 30 years, died Fri
day morning at the resldeneo of his
uncle, Rev. W. W. Brlnofleld. 49 English
avenue. The body will be sent to Pin
son, Ga., Saturday morning for burial,
• Infant of Z. N. Hooper.
The Infant daughter of Sir. and Mrs.
Z. N. Hooper died at the family resi
dence, near Bolton, Oa., Friday morn
ing. after a short Illness. The funeral
services will be conducted at the chape!

The funeral services of Mrs. Cath
erine Gilbert, aged 69 years, who died
Thursdav at the residence of her
daughter, Mn. J R. Harris, 10 Bailey
street, were conducted Friday after-
noon at 3 o’clock. The Interment was
in Hollywood cemetery.

died Thursday afternoon at tho sol-
