He was carried to the city hospital and for a time tho doctors thought ho would recover. But several days ago his con dition began to grow worse, and his wife and brother were sent for. ALLOWED TO RAISE CROP BEFORE 8ERVING SENTENCE. Special to The Qeorglon. Macon, May 8.—The Federal jury re turned a number of Indictments, most of them for Illicit distilling. The following Indictments were found: Jim Lamar, charged with breaking Into the United States postofllee at Montrose, Oa; Peter Dennis, charged with Illicit distilling; Arthur L. Clem ents, charged with Illicit dlstlllng; John Qay, charged with Illicit distilling; Sol Bowman, charged with, retailing liquor without paying the tax. William K. Little, of Twiggs county, charged,with Illicit distilling. Little was taken before Judge Speer and he pleaded guilty. Judge Speer will not pronounce the sentence until next De cember, In order that Little may have an opportunlty'tp make his crops. yesterday at the family residence, on Mulberry street. Mrs. Machntd was one of the pioneer German settlers of Macon. She Is survived by one adopt ed daughter. Mrs. C. lluhn. 8he was the aunt of H. P„ Frank, Ed and Julius Loh. Miss Loh and Mrs. Frank White- head, all living In this city, and Mrs. George Mann, of Atlanta. The funeral services were held from the residence. CATHOLIC KNIGHTS OF AMERICA ELECT 8TATE OFFICERS. Mrs. Dug gan woe seated at the supper table at the time tha,t she was stricken. She died before a physician could be called. Willingham, of Atlanta, a freight conductor of tbe Southern rail road. was badly injured early Wednes day morning at McDonough.
