The Refrigerator
Question is an
Important One
Tbs health of the family depend* more thl* hot weather on how
the food la kept than on the kind ofood you eat. *
How many case* of typhoid ferer could be traced to the soggy,
wet, musty smelling refrigerator will never be known.
You have no doubt bad experience with that kind, have seen the
sweat and dampness on the outside, but could not see It Inside of the
walla where all the mfschlef Is done.
Of course our reason for mentioning these things I* to call your
attention to
The North Star Refrigerator
“THE REFRIGERATOR WITH THE CORK FILLING."
The cork-filling makes It Impossible for the refrigerator to sweat
either on the out or Inside of the walls, It makes the walls so heavy
that no condensation can take place from outside Influences. That's
where all the dampness comes from.
We wish at least to hare you come In and examine them. We will
conrine; you by showing bow the walls are fllleu with cork that It
la impossible for dampness to get Into them.
Priced $7.50 to $80.00 .
The cost 1* no more—It la just a matter of knowing how to make
a superior refrigerator; that's all.

An Invitation waa extended Prcsl-
dept Samuel Gompere, of the American
Federation of Labor, by the convention
of Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen
at the *e*«ton on Friday morning to
dddmt the convention on Saturday
afternoon, and the Invitation waa ac
cepted.
Although there le no affiliation be
tween the two organlxatlone, Preeldent
Gompere and Grand Master Morrissey,
of the brotherhood, are warm friends
and have known each other for many
5-enrs. The Invitation wa» extended
out of courtesy to Mr. Oomper*. and
because of the high place he holds as
a leader of organtxod labor. There is
no plan on foot for the brotherhood to

Ai the morning session of the con
vcntlon Friday, the delegates continued
their work of passing upon the report
of the committee on constitution. A
multitude of amendments to the con
etltutlcn were considered but m
changes ol a radical nature were made.
To Close Mondsy.
Because of the mass of work to be
done. It was decided Friday that the
convent Ion could not be concluded this
week and the work will not end before
Monday. After the committee on con
stitution finishes Its work, the conven
lion has a large amount of work In
passing on the report of the commit
tee on resolutions and on the reports
of other committees.
It Is probable, however, that the elec
tion of officers and the selection of the
next meeting place will come up some
time on Saturday.
That Grand Master Morrissey will be
re-elected there Is little doubt, for hie
work of the past twelve years has
shown the big organisation that he le
the right man In the right place. He Is
an able official and has shown by hla
hard work that he has the welfare of
hla brother trainmen at heart.
ft Is expected by those In a position
to know that there will not be many
change* made In the officers, as all the
grand lodge officials have proven them
selves efficient and faithful.
Considerable Interest Is still being
manifested In the selection of the next
meeting place and Des Moines and Co
lumbus. Oblo, are stilt working stren
uously to get the convention of 1907.
Thursday's 3*siion.
At the session on Thursday the con
vention ugaln took up the report of the
committee on constitution and made
considerable progress with It. but no
radical changes were made,
While engaged In this work the con
vention took time to offer a reward of
1900 for the capture of Bllaa Young, a
negro who brutally murdered Conduc
tor George Wolf on the Frisco System,
near Chaffee, Mo. The state of Mis
souri has offered a reward of 1200 and
every effort will be made to capture the
badly wanted man.
On Thursday afternoon tho delegates
and their families Journeyed to White
city park In special trolley cars and
enjoyed a delicious Genrgln barbecue.
