COAL STRIKE IS
POSTPONED MONTH
Pittsburg, Pa., June 1.—The threat
ened coal strike of the miners of the
Pittsburg division has been averted for
thirty days at least. After a confer
ence lasting over five hours In the of
fices of President Robbins, of the Mo-
nongahela River Consolidated C’oal and
Coke Company, both sides agreed to
leave the question of the use of the
dumping machine to a committee of
three, and give them thirty days .in
which to settle the differences.
