Monday afternoon the first perform
ance of the new program at the Pas
time theater, on Peachtree street, was
given to a delighted audience. It will
he repeated at 4 o'clock and will be
given several times during the contin
uous performance which begins at 7:30
o’clock and lasts each evening until 11
'clock.
Through his booking ngency Man
ager Holland has succeeded In securing
a number of new favorites and
friends of the program this week, and
the bill promises to be even better and
brighter than ever.

George and Gladys Johnson, singers
and dancers; Lewis and Lesslnger,
whose "Rube” act made such a hit nt
the Pastime early In June, will return
for u week’s stay In a new comedy
sketch. Tommy Wilks, the singer

At Beautiful Ponca.
One of the largest and most repre
sentative gatherings In the whole histo
ry of beautiful Ponce DeLeon Park
found rest and comfort at the recrea
tion resort on Sunday. All afternoon
and In the evening the park was crowd
ed to Us capacity, and the woodland
and lawns resembled a picture of hap
piness simply Impossible to reproduce.
Matthlesnen’s superb band and or
chestra made good the prediction that
the selected concerts would eclipse all
other successes. The aftefnoon concert
wa* classy. It waa made up of some
old favorite numbers, and several se
lections of original music, rendered for
the first time in Atlanta.

eratlon .Monday and will continue until
Saturday night, daily, from I p. m.
There have been several additions that
were first Introduced- at Pohce DeLeon,
and these new amusements, together
with the favorites of the past, make
the resort one of the most popular
places In the South.
Manager Cardoza has Just closed con
tracts-for three additional amusements,
one of which will be larger than any
thing of its sort In the whole South. /
building with 12,000 square feet of sur
face will be required to house the con
cession, and the other two are going to
he popular drawing cards.

at the very outset. General Miles says,
