Down on Peachtree at the Junction of Mariet ta there was a monster crowd and here Governor Smith got one of the great est ovations given him along the route. Tell after yell rent the air and attested th* popularity of the ntw governor of the state. .And the ovation continued all tho way to tht capitol whore there was another enthusiastic demonstration by the crowd packed around the streets there. Then ths crowds In the windows and on the eldewalk, cheered again. Following the governor-elect's car riage came a long line of carriages with prominent people In them from all over the atate. Among thee* were Hlahop W. A. Candler, Congressman Charles It. Bartlett, of Macon; Congressman T. G. Hardwick, of the Eleventh dis trict; Hon. Pope Brown and many others. Mr. Smith bowed to the crowds and seemed to be the happiest man in the entire parade. Hoke Smith Clube.
