Lindsey, In hit annual report, calls attention to the pension deficit for 1307 of 343,500. He ■ays that this deficit was caused by the legislature Ignoring the recommen dations of tbs department and cutting down the appropriations for 1306 and 1307 320,000. If this sum had been al lowed, the deficit Would have been about wiped out. For 1308 and 1303 he asks for 8360,- 000 for pensions, as against .3890,000 for the two preceding years.
