Washington, July 1.—Jefferson Da
vis’ name will be restored to Its former
place of prominence on the Cabin John
bridge, from which It was removed by
vandal hands, If the congress of the
United States or some other authority
heeds the earnest behest of the United
Daughters of the Confederacy, which
have Just come from their recent ses
slon at Richmond.

took place last Wednesday afternoon

Before the ceremony Rev. B. G. Press
ley sang "Dreaming of Love." The
bride and groom entered the parlor to
the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding
march, which was beautifully rendered
by Mrs. A. H. Barton. During the cer.

formed by Rev. B. G. Pressley, Mrs.
Barton played "Hearts and Flowers.’
Only a few relatives and friends were
present.

of brown silk, with hat to match. Im
mediately after the ceremony Mr. and
Mrs. Martin left for the home of the
groom. They leave the first of the

The input brilliant affair of the sea
son at Forsyth was tho mnrrlnge of
Miss Nettle. Talmadge and Mr. Hilton
Tyus, of Griffin, which took place at
the Baptist church In Forsyth Wednes
day evening, Rev. A. 8. Dlx officiating.
The church was made beautiful with
palms mid ferns and garlands of sml-
lax with a wreath of white oleanders
massed among the green. To the
strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march,
played by Mrs. Ashley M. Outlaw, the
bridal party entered the church in the
following order: The ushers, Mr. R.
B. Stephens and Dr. J. O. Elrod, of
Forsyth, and Messrs. J. J. and J. S.
