Broughton, was unanimously elected presi
dent of the netr club. The other officers
are W. V. Martin, vice president; Walt
Cornett, secretary, and Will Ogletree, treas

A remarkable ed*e was tried before tie*
corder Broyles Thursday'morning, when J,
D. Keller and his wife, both of whom ara
totally blind, and who have been here for
the past week selling peucll#lu the streets,
were arraigned and were ordered to stop
the traffic.
The case was brought Into court by Sec
retary Logan of the Associated Charities,

years old. of Memphis, was ordered taken

main with them. It la expected Keller will
take out a writ of habeas corpus.

NERVOUS SHOCK
ENDED IN DEATH
Benjamin W. Hargrave*, aged 44
year*, manager of the Atlanta branch
of the Continental Creamery Company,
of Topeka, Kan*., died Thursday
morning at 6 o'clock at his residence,
221 Whitehall street, after an lllneaa of
several months.
About two weeks ago, white out
driving with hla wife and two chil
dren, the buggy was struck by an au
tomobile on Whitehall street, near
Brothcrton. Although he was not In
jured, he suffered greatly from the
nervous shock. None of the other oc
cupants of the buggy were Injured.
Mr. Hargraves Is survived by his
wife, Who was Mins Francis Daniel,
of Wilson. N. C., and seven children,
Misses Elizabeth, Francis and Helen
Hargraves; John DanleL Benjamin W.

OFF ON ANOTHER RUN.
Toledo, Ohio, July 11.—Seventy-four
cars, carrying 230 people, started from
Toledo on the second day's run of the
Glldden tour shortly after 7 o'clock thla
morning. Heavy rains last night caused
chains to be put over the tires of most
of the cars, to eliminate skidding. The
stop for tonight Is at South Rend. The
cars leave for Chicago on Friday mom-

The first accident occurred today
when J. Otis’ Arrow car turned turtle
on a hillside near Toledo, Injuring Otis,
