New York Commercial: Notwithstanding reports of soft spots In the cotton ynru market prices are being firmly maintained all along tbc line, und up to the present time no selling agent has been found will ing to grunt concessions of nny sort lu order to move certain counts which sre al leged to have ncruiuulated. The demand Is not ns active ns It was, ns both weavers and knitters seem to have opvered their future requirement* fairly well for the time being, and are now nw*nltlng further de velopments before taking on nny further contract*. Weavers, especially those representing some of tho larger manufacturing concerns throughout the country, who hnre been out of the market for tho past week or so, are now paying occasional visits to this mar ket, apparently for the purpose of slxlng up the situation and looking for any soft spots that tuny develop. No transactions of moment have been put through since the week opened in the weaving yarn division of the market, so it Is to be supposed that the would-be buyers hare failed to find prices which met with their approval. Spinners nre now so wlel sold ahead that they are not nt all desirous of taking oil more business nt the present time, and what with the difficulty that cotton yarn agents nre experiencing in obtaining the deliveries • wanted by buyers now In the market, the actual amount of business passing Is not large. Reports continue to be circulated to the effect that supplies of two-ply warns No. 80s nre beginning to accumulate In this market, and that buyers may Inter on be able to purchase nt more advantageous prices. Prominent sellers In the trade, however, make light of these reports and state that they would l»e glad to see accumulations of some counts, and these accnmulntlons of fered nt lower prices, as they would be willing to cover offers of this sort If they were uiudo. Narrow Print Cloths Wanted. _ Inch 64x80 on a basis of 4 13-16 cents. The market yesterday was fairly active and on the regulars, trading on a 6-rent basis, calling for delivery during December, Jan uary and February, was reported.
