of ability. She has received great hon
ors In reading, having received un hon
orable mention at the "Oratorical Con.
test" In Sandeisvllle In 1901. During
the same year she was graduated at
the High school at her home town,
here she received first honor
going later to LnGrnnge Female Col
lege, where she entered the senior class.
Mr. Olllff, after graduating with first
honor In Coleman, graduated at Emory
'ollege with honors. As a teacher. Mr
dllff has met with great success. Dur
ing the last year he and Miss Flanders
ore colaborers at the school at Nash-
llle. Immediately after the ceremony
[r. and Mrs. Olllff left for Tallulah
Falls, Jamestown, Washington, New
York and other places.

evening was the dinner party of Miss
Elizabeth High’s, given In honor of
Miss Mary Brent Smith and Miss
Katherine Miller.
The dinner was served al fresco,
the small tables being placed on the
lawn, each table having'for. Its cen
terpiece a vase filled with roses. The
porches and lawn were lighted by
Japanese lanterns and an orchestra
added much to the enjoyment of the
evening.

fashioned with Valenciennes lace.
Mrs. Williams, who assisted In the

relatives and friends.
The bride’ft attendants were: Misses
Clara Lee Copelln. Catherine Lambert
and Louise Parker, and the groomsmen
were Messrs. J. B. Cheatham, Wilfred
McNaught and W. T. Cantrell.
The bridal party stood before an
Improvised altar of palms and during
the ceremony an orchestra played ap
propriate selections.
Throughout the house the color
scheme of pink was effectively car
ried out In every detail. In the dining
room n wedding hell of rones was sus
pended from the celling Just over the
table. The centerpiece was a heart-
shaped cake, . decorated with rones.
The vases were filled with roses and
the Ices and caken were nlno In pink.
The bride wore a gown of white mull,
fashioned with Val »ace. Her veil wan
caught with orange blossoms and she
carried a bouquet of the same flowers.
The bridesmaids all wore pretty chif
fon gowns and pink sashen, nhoen and
gloves. They wore pink flowers in
their hair and carried bouquets of pink
roses.
Mrs. Copelln, the bride’s fnother, wore
a hundsome gown of cream-colored
lace, trimmed with chiffon and velvet.
