reduction on the price of school text books Is allowed ONLY on condition that a subscription to The Georgian

West Alabama street, present this
agreement properly made out at this
office and an order on the Orr Sta

street, will be given you for each book.
This order Is not transferable and will
not be re-lssued If lost. The orders
you secure from The Georgian office
you will present to the Orr Stationery
Company, paying them the twenty per
cent Georgian reduction price. The
books will then be given you.
It's worth while to remember a few
things:
You do not pay The Georgian any
money until your paper begins to be
delivered, then you pay the carrier
10 cents per week.
This offer Is good for old and new
subscribers alike—old subscribers must
pay up back subscriptions In full to
date.
Don’t send your child to The Geor
gian office unless he has the subscrip
tion agreement properly signed.
This offer applies only to textbooks
—not to copy or drawing books or
color boxes or writing material.
Be sure you know what books you
want, as the name of each book goes
on the order.

see the two prices, then figure the
saving you are going to make.
Anyone desiring to pay for the Geor
gian and News at the regular monthly
or yearly subscription rates can do so
by paying In advance—One .Month 45
cents—Three Months $1.25—Six Months
12.50—Twelve Months 14.50.
The Conditions:
It is important that you fully understand how to secure your school text-books by The Geor
gian and News twenty per cent reduction offer and for that purpose kindly read the following
conditions, which are very simple to comply with; no misunderstanding is possible if carefully fol
lowed.
For every text-book bought under this offer there must be a subscription for one month to
The Georgian and News. This docs not mean that there must be a different subscriber for each
month. One father or mother or other responsible person can subscribe to The Georgian and News
for as many months as they desire text-books. The number of months which any one person can
subscribe to The Georgian and News is not limited.
Each subscription is taken at the rate of 10 cents per week by carrier, which is the regular
subscription price of The Georgian and News, payable either all at one time in advance or 10 cents
per week to the carrier. Where the papers are delivered through the postofflee tho subscription
price must be paid all at one time in advance.
Upon the failure of any subscriber to pay the carrier the subscription price wcexiy for any
one week during the time for which the subscription agreement lasts The Georgian and Nows re
serves the right to reclaim all the books bought under this’special agreement and will be compelled
to take all of them should any of the weekly payments lapse.
This special offer applies to text-books only. It does not, apply to drawing
books, copy books, color box, pencils, pens, inks, slates, satchels, or any other ma
terial needed by the children. The books and the special reduction prices are
shown at the bottom of this page. *

What the 20 Per Cent Reduction
Means
Tbe amount necessary to pay for the school books of Atlanta and
vicinity each year amounts to something like $25,000. This money comes
from every class of Atlanta’s citizens and the expenditure of It touches
every household. The Georgian’s special reduction offer means a saving
of $5,000 of tho people's money.
In families where there ate many children the buying of books Is one
of the big expenditures of the year. It Is prepared for and often denials
have to be made to raise the amounts necessary to pay for school books
which must be had.
The Georgian and News realizes what this means to largo families
where there are many chlldreq; to the widow whose only boy Is anx
ious to take advantage of tbe splendid system of publlo schools In At
lanta; to the aged grandmother who wants to see her little 'grand
daughter get the education which she must have to "make her way;"
to the salaried man who has many to feed and school—to the laboring
man who has ambition for his children; and to all those who know that
education Is the lever that moves obstacles In the way to uscccss.
The Georgian and News Is glad for these and many other reasons
to be able to assist In this movement for education In effecting a sav
ing of $5,000 to tho mothers and fathers and children.
Every facility will be afforded them at The Georgian ofllco and orders
for books will be given out as rapidly as the subscription agreements
are presented.
