When we see so ninny convent schools and

ever, for there are so many that uso the

Among wants long felt In tho musical
world nnd satisfactorily supplied by this
Arm are small Parlor Grands. These, while
giving the performer wery advantage of a
full Grand with nearly tho same power, do
not occupy ns much space, nnd are therefore
suited to Hiunll-slxcd rooms. The compara
tively low price at which they arc placed
on the market also brings these Instruments
within the rcaeh of buyers of moderate
means. The Upright Plano, a style rapidly
gaining In America the popularity It linn

high degree of perfection. The Upright Is
particularly adapted for the srtlstie de

Although Knabe pianos have been sold

The above names are residents of Atlanta
nnd the Atlanta agents of Knnlie. Phillips A
Crew, refer to any one or all of them. It
Is needless to add Hint an attempt to give
the out-of-town buyers of thin celebrated
piano from Phillips Ac Crew would entail a
heavy expense on tho firm, besides require
nu extra supplement to the regular Issue of
this paper.
Nevertheless the honor shull he confer
red on owners of this renowned piano,
when It will be shown mat Phillips Ac Crew
hnve sold Knnlie pianos not only In Atlanta,
but In New York city. In Alabama, lu Flor
ida, In North Carolina, In Tennessee, In
Mississippi, and almost every city nml towu

The Boston Home Journal, of September
15, 1M3, thus refers to Knnhe pianos:
•‘These pianos consist of squares, uprights

the most critical examination will fall to de.
teet the slightest flaw. The most thorough
nnd conscientious attention has evidently
been paid by the firm to every detail. The
solidity of construction is n perfect tnonu-

the deslgu of all this workmanship, nnd
It would seem Impossible for

the firm. Verily, the house of William
Knnhe Ac Company Is In Its prime with such
Instruments as these. The evenness of the
scale is ns near perfection as any human
agency could make It. This special and
Important excellence, the most partisan
pianist In other directions will not fall to
acknowledge of the Knnhe piano. The up
per tones, especially, nre full of sparkle
and clear as a hell. So enny is the action
that a young pianist who could not play the
scales a la allegro ou many other piauos
might easily surprise himself with a presto the two Instrument*, which are of the finest

From Tho Christian Index:

careful preparation of woods employed, the

of detnll Is pnrtlcnlnrly pleasing nml the

The action Is easy and natural, nnd players
on this Instrument commend It as produc

that there Is m» effort on the part of
