cur at the First Baptist church on
Monday evening at 8 o’clock will no
doubt nttract a large gathering, as
many of Atlanta's best known and most
prominent dtirens will be lined up to
have their spelling ability tested by
Professor Landrum from the old “Blue
Back" Speller.
The entertainment will be under the
auspices of the Young Ladles' Commit
tee of the-church, who will leave noth
ing undone to make the evening thor
oughly enjoyable. No' admission will
he charged, but a free-will offering
taken.
At the conclusion of the spelling con.
test refreshments will be served, for
which a free-will offering also will be
received.

CHAIRMEN FOR LADIES’ ENTRIES.
A committee of ladles ha* been ap
pointed to take charge of the ladles’
entries at the approaching horse show,
of which Mrs. Cobb Caldwell has been
made chairman, and Mlae Roslne Raoul
vice chairman. In connection with this
local committee, Mr*. Walter Lamar, of
Macon, Mlea Anita Phinlsy, of Augus
ta, and Mlea Louise DuBoae, of Athens,
have been Invited to act as out-of-town
members of the committee.
It Is the object and purpose of the
ladles’ committee to Interest In tho
coming horse show all women riders in
Georgia, and to Induce them to take
part In the exhibition. ,
The members of the committees met
Saturday night at the home of Mr. end
Mre. William L. Peel, on Peachtree
atreet, and formulated plani for the
approaching horae show.
