tlons were very favorable. Light to heavy
frost occurred In northern counties In the
forepart of the week, but there was no ma
terial change. Tho mean temperature nnd
percentage of sunshine were nlx>vn normal.
Light showers occurred lu northwestern
counties on the 16th.
South Carolina—No rain fell. Low tem
perature with light to killing frost occurred
during the forepart of th*» week, but normal
temperature prevailed during tho iatter
part. The sunshine was lunch above
nial, there being little cloudiness.
Tennessee—The weather was generally!
Hear. The temperature averaged slightly
below normal. Light frost occurred on the
15th, There was no ruin.
Texas—Two to over three Inches of rain
occurred In south-eentrnl counties, but there
rnin In some northeastern eonntles.
Alabama—The sunshine was abundant.
The first half ef the week was cool, and
light frost was genera*. Heavy to kilting
frosts occurred at scattered points lu tlm

Arkansas—The weather was fair and fa
