AND WOMAN'S INTERESTS
THE TRAVELER.
' Between my knees upon his chair,
fVjIh the firelight flickering through
his hair,
Hla .wide eyoa seeing beyond our ken
The chlhlworld hidden from sight of
men.
He takes my hand, and his little tongue
la aweet with the chatter that makes
me young!
Between my knees, with his fancy
stirred
By the magic chair of the fairy world,
He cloaks him round with the wishing
cloak.
And away he goes on his slip of onk.
Over the seas of the gleam of gold.
As Slnbad went In the days of old!
Between my knees, with the airy way
That a childheart has In the childhood
day.
He skims the desert and leaps the hills
And over the vjde with Its crystal rill*
Swings and soars on the wings of
gleam . ,
To the bloomy borders of dusk and
dream!,
Between my knees he !\as ridden far
To the moon and sun and the evening
■Utr; s.
Arabia, Persia, East and We*t—
Oh, traveler bold on the childheart
quest,
A dreamer loet In the dreamland
throng,
Hotnebound at last on the wing* of
song!
