credit to some professionals, and their

Harrison wen especially conspicuous in
the cast, and acted their parts In a
manner worthy of praise. Little Wil
liam Caverly made a big hit with the
audience and received a large portion
of the applause.

New York, Dec. 21.—It was said to.
day that Mark Twain had loat $32,000
In the Plnsmon Company, There waa
some speculation among creditors of
the company as to whether or not
Mark Twain would himself make good
the loss to them. There Is no doubt.
If ho thought himself liable, he could
easily pay off the concern's debts.

of Miss Addle M. Bridges, of Rome,
and Jesse M. Miller, of Columbus. Ohio,

JESSIE BURKE IS
STILL ALIVE
New York, Dec. 21.—Jessie Burke,
aged 19. thought dead and buried by
her mother, has written home that .she
Is alive and well In New Orleans. Mrs.
Burke had some months ago Identified
and buried the body of a girl named.
Burke as her daughter. She had also
got $600 from an Insurance company
on a policy. This was returned.
