doors In Macon. Some of the proprie

have been rented for other purposes
and will be occupied on January 1.

of Commerce Is making every effort to

The board of trustees of the Juven
ile Protective Association held its an
nual meeting Friday afternoon in the
office of the chplrman. Rev. Crawford
Jackson. Representatives from four
states were present with Judge W. R.
Hammond presiding.

juvenile offenders and keep them from

hardened criminals.
The report showed that Dr. L.
Hardman, of Commerce, had offered
to’donate to the organization 426 acres
of land, providing 326,000 was spent
upon It In improvements. During the
meeting It was decided to have the
by-laws of the organization prepared
by James L. Anderson, and also that
a charter be secured. At another
meeting to be held In about two weeks,
the election of trustees and an advis
ory board will take place.. Chairman
Jackson's report showed that branches
of the association hare been estab
lished In North Carolina, South Caro
lina. Florida, Alabama, Mississippi,
Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky.
