A Designated Depository of the United Stafe ■, State of Georgia, and of the City of Atlanta.
And here are a few facts in which you*ll be interested:
Being a National Bank, this institution is conducted under
supervision of the U. S. Government, wbicb makes examina
tions twice a year. But in addition to this, it maintains a
system of independent audits providing for two complete exam
inations. These examinations are made at the will of the
auditors and always without previous announcement. Every
dollar of the hank s cash is counted hy the auditors once a
month, also at their option.
Bad debts are charged off this hank s hooks January and
July every year, thus eliminating dead assets.
The Fourth National has a capital stock of $600,000,
which is owned hy 263 stockholders. This means that the
holdings are widely distributed and represent a large diversity
of business interests.
The stockholders elect a Board of Directors to represent
them in the management of the hank's affairs. This is a large
hoard, consisting of seventeen members.
The active daily conduct of the hank is in the hands of
the officers, who are trained and practical men in the profes
sion of hanking. They devote their entire time to the hank's
affairs.
The Board of Directors is directly represented in the
administration of the business of the hank hy a Finance Com
mittee composed of three of its number, none of whom is an
official. This committee meets daily for the purpose of con
sidering each and every loan and all investments made hy the
hank.
These facts, hearing upon the general policy and administration of this institution, are worthy of careful note.
As to its strength, the above statement speaks unmistakably. We ask an attentive reading of it. The
officers will he pleased to confer with you at any time regarding hanking matters.
